An Interview from Red Bull!

What does it mean to be a snowboarder?

It's about having fun, with your friends or by yourself. It's about pushing yourself to try new things and do the unexpected. Finally, and most importantly, it's about being creative.

Tom Cruise, Carmen Elektra, Playboy Bunnies and others are among celebrities you are acquainted with. Who else rolls in your crew, please say Britney Spears?

Through snowboarding I have been lucky enough to meet a lot of celebrities. It's cool because they are always fun and have great stories. In the end, I have the most fun just hanging out with my close friends riding or chilling out.

Do you believe in luck?

A little bit, but it doesn't rule my life. I feel lucky to have found snowboarding, and to have people be interested in it. I also feel very fortunate to have sponsors and fans that appreciate what I do.

Was there any event that really hurt your career?

Not really, I think every event that I do helps my career more and more. There are some sponsor related events that I have done that I thought were cheesy, but I try to make the best of them and go out there with a good attitude.

Journalists have given you numerous nicknames, they all rule right?

Ha, I have heard so many now. They just keep coming. The funniest part is that no one calls me those names, except for the media. Either way, I think they are all pretty funny.

Often, you compare yourself with your brother Jesse. How did he help push you?

Jesse is the one who got me started with snowboarding. He helped push me to ride better by taking me with his friends and pushing me to do what they were doing. We work together now and it's the same sibling rivalry. We push each other in different ways, but it's always about progression and making each other better.

What are you plans after you finish your career?

WHAT! Are you crazy! I don't know, I'm only 22, I haven't thought that far ahead. I am just having as much fun as I can! [laughs]
