Arriving in Niseko, it was like we have rolled into Heaven. The snow had just begun and there were people all over the place! Finally we were at the resort and there were restaurants, bars, and people bustling about all over the place. It had been a great week at The Lodge in the mountains, but our beards were showing the wear and tear that that solitary confinement had tattooed on us.
We pulled into that nearest gas station and waited for Yui from Burton to meet up with us. Our giant purple bus was hard to miss and within minutes he was in that parking lot laughing at our Barney Bus! We followed him to our condo for the next five days and as we walked in, it seemed that we really had landed in Heaven!

A gorgeous, plush condo awaited our arrival. Chefs, plasma TV, Internet connections and real beds! The crew was ecstatic. We plugged in the iPod, letting the music fill the house and we all relaxed. In between the time of our arrival and our getting settled the night had filled the sky and the heart of the storm was just coming into the air. This was going to be another big storm and the crew was ready for anything.
For the next few days, the storm ragged outside. Dumping huge amounts of snow, but battling the horrendous winds. We were locked in our house, but at least the place was a good as it could get. We wandered to the mountain-Closed. Back to the condo-Cabin Fever, and then we went to Wild Bill's.
Red Bull had decided that what better way to get to know that town than through a great night with the locals. Wild Bill's was the location and it just so happened to be located right next door to the condo. Great music, pool, food and drinks and it seemed that the crew had finally settled into the Niseko routine.

When the storm finally broke, the guys were ready to go. Niseko is one of those epic resorts that allows for the rider to be as creative as they want. Jibs, pow, jumps, you name it, Niseko has it. The days that followed proved to be some of the best of the trip. And before we know it, the trip was winding to a close. Pat Moore was on his way back to Whistler for another shoot and Heikki was on a whirlwind tour across the globe on his way back through Helsinki and then to Utah and up to Tahoe.
For Shaun and the rest of the crew it was on to Tokyo. The lights of Shibuya were calling and it was time to answer their call. Check back for the update from Tokyo, and watch for the full story only in SNOWBOARDER MAGAZINE!
