Shaun popped in for a little bit of that fabled Texas hospitality and a heck of a skate session as he helped cut the ribbon on arguably one of the best parks in the country. The Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark opened up to the public on Sunday with standing room only crowds and a session the likes of which Texas has never seen.
Covering over 30,000 square feet, the privately funded park took nearly three years to build and over $2 million. The concrete monster is here just in time to usher in the summertime skate crowds and kids with the urge to surge! With the Red Bull Scenic Cruiser his mobile pad for the afternoon and a haven from the heat, Shaun was ready to ride all day!
Although the trip was a fast one for Shaun, he was back in California working on his sweet tan lines by noon the next day, Texas proved to be one of the best stops of his summer so far.
