With a last minute entry into the Nissan X Trail, Shaun White is kicking his year off in rock and roll fashion. Just hours before the deadline, Shaun was on a plane and off to Tokyo for a season opener in one of the biggest contests of the year. (Click here to check out some photos from his 2007 victory!)
And although Shaun may be missing out on a few powder turns in Colorado, he is keeping his competition guessing as the year gets into full swing.
It was just two years ago, when Shaun took center stage and the #1 title in front of 70,000 screaming Japanese fans. No doubt he is looking for another victory this time around. The Nissan X Trail is world renown for its crazed fans! The contest format, which is a Big Air and a Quarterpipe, is held indoor in the Tokyo Dome, so everything is on display!
