It was a beautiful night for a showdown. Shaun White and the rest of the riders arrived for tonight's Superpipe Final ready to give the crowd a show! But this was no cakewalk for Shaun, as he fell in his first two runs that meant that all the pressure was on for his final run!
As he dropped in for his 3rd and final run, he was in 7th place and he knew he needed a big score to take over first place. Dropping in, the crowd was chanting, screaming, snow was falling and the pipe was perfect. He blasted off his first hit with a huge backside rodeo into a backside 900 to a frontside 1080 to a cab 1080 into a frontside 900 to McTwist to finish off his epic run!
All in all, it was quite the weekend for Shaun as he took to the slopestyle course with authority, taking 1st in that as well, setting the bar even higher for the rest of the field.

SHAUNSHAUN!!! I'm very sorry I missed the live TV broadcast, but I just saw your winning runs on expn.com. Your slopestyle run was SPECTACULAR!! The 720 transfer in itself was exciting, but that carve to get in place for the money booter in such a tight spot followed by a melon 1080 makes the whole thing hard to believe!! HUGE congrats on that run!!!
