With Shaun's name entered into both the Vert and Best Trick categories at this year's X Games, he's finally making his return to the ramp official. X Games hits LA from July 29 through August 1, and Shaun's eager to get rolling. Coming off of a serious ankle tweak that left him sidelined for the better part of two months, he's amped to drop into the Staples Center and see where four wheels will take him. Both the Vert competition and Best Trick go off on Friday, July 30. More to come soon from the man as he gets on the board and the beast that is X Games takes off.

Back to San Diego from X-Games 16. Got to see you in Skate Vert and at the awards. Congratulations on your silver, Shaun. I guess I don't have enough technical knowledge but I failed to understand why PLG's scores were so high; from where I was sitting, you had the gold in your pocket. Sorry you skipped Best Trick. Hope you are feeling OK. Always a pleasure to see you.
You were ROBBED - you definitely earned the gold. I thought you were hitting your tricks higher and flashier than PLG. Maybe the judges didn't know how to score your new trick or something? Or they just gave it to PLG since he is more of a skateboard staple. I wish you had stayed for the Best Trick - it was so boring...so many falls...at least you would have made it interesting and landed your new trick and probably others! Hope to see you at other skate events - winter is too far away to see you again on TV!

you did an amazing shred job on vert...just think if you wouldn't have been out a year and a half for getting ready for the olympics and then another 2 months with an ankle injury you would have easily beat PLG.

As someone who knows a lot about skatboarding... you should have won... But misjudging happens a lot in these kinds of sports, you just have to make it more obvious for them!
