Some might think of Shaun as "just another snowboarder" but apparently GQ Magazine is seeing things differently. Shaun is in the new issue, recognized as on of their Men of the Year. Not bad for a guy who just turned 21!
Bigger than the age gap through is the gap that Shaun has helped to close. From helping to grow snowboarding from it's "Banned From Mountains" beginning to it Olympic stardom of today. Shaun has helped bridge that gap for a whole generation of kids that were looking for something, anything other than Friday Night Lights.
And today many kids have that option and have made snowboarding and skateboarding their lives and their lifestyle. This generation does things differently, writes, talks, texts, blogs, uploads, downloads, laughs, and most importantly revolutionizes. Snow and skate culture have helped to give this generation that confidence to question authority, forgo the status quo and truly pave there own path.

"To the outsider, snowboarding and skateboarding seem the same, because you stand on a board sideways, but that's not the case at all. There aren't too many people who can cross over. But Shaun can exist in both worlds...
