Photos > Skate Trip to Rwanda

These are just a few images from Shaun's skate trip to Rwanda. It really wasn't a skate trip but it was more of an eye-opening experience. Shaun brought in a ton or boards, left ramps out in the streets and really just saw a totally different place.

Shaun-im only 15 but have had the chance to go on several mission trips working with kids, and i know for a FACT that just by holding their hands and playing with them changes their lives...its something they will remember forever. You were truly a gift to these children. I applaud you for what you did for them and respect you for that. Congratulations on the 2010 Olympics!

I loved watching all the moves that you and the others skateboarders did at the X games the year. You really do get so awesome air!

Wow! you really are an amazing dude! Not only are a dope boarder but you also have a heart of GOLD! I think its so awesome that you could take a moment from you busy sched and encourage and help kids in a 3rd world country. This truly shows that your not a stuck up celeb but a hardworking compassionate person. And i admire that! It brought a smile to my face to see that picture of you and those kids holding hands. I hope you know that you have changed those kids lives forever. You have made a lifetime impact and gave them hope! Let your light shine in a dark place!

hey shaun :] i was at the cleveland dew tour right after you got vert. congrats on that by the way. me and my friend had been cheering for you the whole time and made sure to be front and center when you were up at the top of the pipe by us. afterwards we got to get pictures with you and everything, which was awesome and i can't wait for next summer. ANYWAYS. this is the picture i had you sign for me. i got it out of your guest editor issue of snowboarder, and i just want to let you know that i think you are an amazing person. i actually started crying when i started reading the little side clips on the side of the picture, because i know how it feels to be in a situation like that. i have spent a lot of time in haiti, and i know just how much all of it means to the kids. keep showing the world your heart and your awesome riding.

I have been following your career for awhile now, and am amazed at how truely gifted you are. The photos above are more than an "eye-opening experience" to me, it also depicts how "beautifully human" you really are!For that reason alone I will continue to be an avid suporter of "THE SHAUN WHITE FANATION!!!" I hope this comment finds it way to you because YOU ROCK!!!!
